My 5th Birthday

We celebrated my 5th birthday a day earlier at Aunty Ng's as we were heading up Cameron Highlands for a short trip. As usual, we had my birthday cake there and this time I chose a Barbie doll chocolate birthday cake to share with my friends at the daycare. No party packs this round as I am told that from now onwards, there will only be party packs distributed if I have a birthday party.

my 5 year old candle on the cake!

another display of the cake before we gathered my friends to sing for me

this time round, i got a few presents (one from Aunty Ng, one from Aunty Alice and another from my Aunty Mei)

trying to get a picture of us 3 - my cousin Shane and my mei-mei but as you can tell, it's quite tough!

Shane is fascinated by the cake

another pose with the cake

my mei-mei's turn to be fascinated with the cake

as you can tell, she is one cranky pot (somehow she doesn't like bday cakes and songs being sung)

admiring my own cake - i wanna be a princess like her!

mei-mei still a cranky pot

everyone gathered to sing my bday song and you can see that my mei-mei got upset!

the birthday song sung and this round I'm not that shy anymore like my previous birthdays there

cake cutting time!

We left for Camerons after that and we got to celebrate New Year's eve there too. Will save that story for another day. As for now, I'm dreaming about my 6th birthday party as mummy has promised me one this round (she has been telling me that I will only have real parties when I'm 1, 6, 12 and 16 years old!).

In memory of kong-kong; his 70th birthday celebration - Part 1

We celebrated my late kong-kong's 70th birthday end of July last year (2010). On his actual birthday, 23rd July, all of us had dinner with him at a Chinese Restaurant at Plaza Damas before going to Perhentian Island for a family getaway the very next day.

We booked the whole room (with an attached toilet) to ourselves and we also had entertainment, the karaoke! My first time with the karaoke session except that I was too shy to sing (only mummy tried to entertain us but failed miserably!)

We totally had fun that night and I will let the pics do the talking and will end with the birthday song video of my kong-kong. Seeing this video makes me sad too but happy at the same as he looks so happy then. I still miss you kong-kong (and I always tell papa and mummy about this!)

A picture of por-por and kong-kong and my cousin, Shane

I was asked to join in and didn't want to smile (my mei-mei totally refused to)

Shane enjoying the lights above that changes colour!

my mei-mei was only interested in this (did I tell you that I love wine too! but mummy says that we kids only get to drink alcohol when we're 21 years old and above!)

we love the mirror in the room (so that i can admire myself! mummy thinks double trouble though!)

oh no, double mei-mei too!

we were obsessed about the tv that played karaoke songs but none of us (except mummy) dared to touch the microphone! {take note that my kong-kong was taking our pic at the background and mummy just found the following picture from his camera - he doesn't download his pictures often and these were the last few he took of us when he was alive}

my grandparents, happily being entertained by me (chatting away!)

i helped blew the candle for kong-kong (took me a few attempts!)

supposed to be a picture with the grandkids but the younger ones were not cooperating

a group pic of the real Lims! :D

Enjoy the video!

My 3rd Birthday

Happy New Year!

My birthday this time definitely made up for my 2nd birthday.

Papa fulfilled his promise to get me a bicycle and everyone is puzzled as to why I chose a blue one instead of a pink one since I’m so into all these Disney princesses stuff lately. The blue is definitely in contrast to the Barbie head, elbow and knee gear papa got me for Christmas.

my new bicycle

Anyhow, my birthday celebration started on the day before when I didn’t have to go to Aunty Ng’s. Instead mummy and papa took me to KLCC to Aquaria. My first time to KLCC and I had some fun, I got to eat ice cream too! The only thing was that I didn’t really like Aquaria, the place was pretty dark and there were huge fishes that scared the jeepers out of me. Mummy said the last time I was there was when I was in her tummy just a few days I was born.

i refused to let mummy take my pic so i was forced to take this one

with my barney friends!

The next day, I celebrated first at Aunty Ng’s with all my friends. I got my Mickey and Minnie Mouse Chocolate cake and also, Aunty made me a doll jelly cake. I also distributed my party packs to my friends at the daycare. They all had the same little handbags as me with their names sewn on them.

the party packs - this is mine and my mei-mei's

the doll jelly cake, ain't it pretty? i requested for a red one. my aunty ng sure is a talented lady!

enjoying my birthday cake

a shot mummy took when she left the daycare, she thought we looked like prisoners

Later in the evening, we went over to my Aunty Pei See’s parent’s place for a barbeque to celebrate the New Year. And I got to celebrate my birthday again with the doll jelly cake Aunty Ng made for me. Also, I received some more presents. I got to play with them with my Kai Yeh (Godfather) and he also took me to the playground nearby. He gave me loads of junk food (chocs and ice cream) to eat. I got away with it as it was my birthday!

happy with my presents that my kai yeh helped me opened

playing with my toys

Having my birthday on the last day of the year sure has it advantages. My grandma said the whole world is celebrating my birthday and I would like to think so. Mummy and papa told me that when I’m bigger, I will be partying with my friends and they kept asking me whether they can follow me or not. I didn’t see what the problem was and I always tell them yes they can. And the weird thing was Mummy recorded this on the camera.

Hope your new year eve’s celebration was as fun as mine. Have a happy 2009!

Merry Christmas!

Sorry for the late post, been busy playing with my Christmas toys and watching my cartoons. I had loads of fun with my presents, hope your Christmas was a splendid one too.

taken at the curve, i'm into disney princesses lately

The below were taken a few weeks ago at my friend's, Shawn, place. His mom made this ginger bread house for us to eat (wreck).

Below is me singing with my Christmas present from my uncle Chun Son and Shasha (mummy's brother). I'm terrified of him but I like this present very much since I'm such a vainpot now.

Below is where mummy thinks I look like a rocker (to be specific, like jon bon jovi). :D

I've been using this mike alot lately...you think I can be an idol in the making?!

CNY 2008

Lilypie 3rd Birthday Ticker

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all!

Another round of Chinese New Year for me and we spent it at the same 2 places again like last year's except that we went to Penang first and then to Cameron Highlands after that.

Mummy made a comparison of last year's and this year's in terms of my behaviour and it goes according to the good, the bad and the ugly (so-so).

The good

  • They don't need to bring the slow cooker and stuff to cook my food. I eat whatever they eat.
  • I'm easier to manage now. I'm not glued all the time to Mummy (can't say the same when I'm cranky though)
  • I love to "gong xi-gong xi" with my hands now to all and will say "gong xi fa cai" especially when I'm in a good mood

The bad

  • I'm bossy now so I demand for things (most of the time I don't get it my way)

  • And since I'm bossy, I will refuse to wear whatever Mummy wants me to and chose them myself (so Mummy's plans for me in wearing what clothes on what days were all gone to waste!)

  • I bully people now. Ok, not so much bully but boss people around and when you get on my nerves, I will scold you! I did this mostly to my cousin brother, JT when we were in Camerons.
  • I like testing the limits with Mummy and Papa even after they have scolded me or threatened or warned me.

  • I change topic easily after I'm being told off for being naughty. One of the nights, Mummy was scolding me and I didn't like her scolding me so I lifted up my right hand, preparing to hit her. She warned me on this and stared at me. I stared right back at her contemplating to hit her or not but since she threatened me, I decided to smile at her and counted "1, 2, 3" while showing her my fingers for 1,2 and 3. I was telling her that I can count.
  • Only reason I like to do the "gong xi-gong xi" with my hands to people I don't know coz I love to receive the Ang Pows! And initially, I wanted to open them to see the money inside but I've been told that it is rude to do so. So later when we're at home, I would ask Mummy "Where's my money? I want my money!" (at least I understand the concept of money and if you ask me now where's all my money, I will reply "I got so many angpows, all my money in the bank."
  • I must have the last say in anything and everything so when I'm being told off, I will scold them back (Of course Mummy will not let me get away with this so I get punished for being rude!)

The so-so

  • Although I'm easier to manage now compared to last year, I still glue to Mummy at times. Only wanting her to shower me, etc. But at least I allow my Por Por to feed me or carry me.
  • You would think by now that I'm used to my car seats with the way I travel around (I'm hardly at home). I am most of the times, but there are times when I'm just cranky and refused to be in it. I was slightly cranky when we were on the way up to Penang. I was more cranky when we were on the way up to Camerons. Luckily, on the way back, I was very well behaved (guess coz I slept for most of the journey).
  • After being really naughty and punished, I will apologize (Mummy wonders whether I actually understand this or just doing it for the sake of doing it)

Guess you would noticed the more bads than the goods or so-so's...Mummy believes it is part of the terrible two phase.

What are holidays or celebrations without photos....Below are pictures from Penang:-

hanging out at the balcony of Ah Por's and Ah Kong's house drinking my milk, this nearly became a routine

all dolled up, ready to go for the reunion dinner

getting ready to go collect more ang pows on 2nd day of CNY

managed to swim at Peh Deh's (papa's brother) after collecting all my ang pows

this was how i had my bath at Ah Por's place, actually it was just showers, i just wanted to play in this pail

Below are pictures from Cameron Highlands :-

posing with the little flowers

making funny faces with my cousins, JT and RW

at the flower farm of papa's relatives, we were checking out their little pond up on a hill

posing in my new Chinese New Year clothes (Mummy had to bribe me in wearing this stating that my cousins were wearing theirs too)

as you can tell, i wasn't happy that my cousin, JT was also posing for my camera so i was protesting! I was bullying him most of the time I was there. i like RW cher cher more

The below shots were taken after my meltdown of the above picture, Mummy had a time-out session with me before I agreed to take pictures with my cousin but this time I chose to be next to RW cher cher. After these shots, I changed my clothes.

this was how we entertained ourselves one of the nights, all 3 of us sharing the ipod nano

Below were pictures when we got back to KL from Cameron Highlands (I love posing for the camera now) :-

Hope you had a good Chinese New Year as well!
