Mummy's entry - how Rye Li got her handsome prince

How hubby got to be Rye Li’s handsome prince?

It all begun when hubby started reading books to Rye Li a long time back. All those princesses’ stories that contain the word “handsome prince”, he would paused after saying “handsome prince” and go “like papa”. And then he would also add “Papa handsome or not?” to only get a response from Rye Li “yes!”. Thus, the poor girl has been brainwashed her only handsome prince is her papa!

How has this affected her? Well, whenever you ask her who is her handsome prince, she will go “My papa!

Recently, when we were at our holiday at Perhentian island (will update on this when I have the time), we kept bumping into the same couple at the resort. And so happened one night, they were sitting next to our table at the restaurant. So the guy started a conversation with the girl….

Guy: What’s your name?
Rye Li: Pretty, pretty princess
Guy: *Laughing* If you’re pretty princess, then I’m Handsome Prince
Rye Li: No, my papa is my handsome prince!
Guy: If that is the case, then I’m Prince Charming
Rye Li: *Laughing*

The other day, we had a conversation about husbands and it lead to….

Mummy: Papa is my husband
Rye Li: No, papa is MY husband!
Mummy: How can papa be your husband? He’s your papa.
Rye Li: What about me? Who is going to be my husband?
Mummy: One day, you will meet your boyfriend and then you will marry him and only then he will be your husband.
Rye Li: I don’t want to marry my boyfriend, I want to marry a handsome prince like papa. I want to marry papa.
Mummy: You cannot marry your papa-la, papa is your papa.
Rye Li: *Still being stubborn* I want to marry papa, my handsome prince. I don’t want to marry my boyfriend.

*I need to record this conversation!*

So, men out there….if you want to have your little girl/s to have you in their minds forever, you know what to do now!

Some random photo updates

I like acting like a baby at times....and I do miss my cot. I ask to go into the cot daily just to be with my mei-mei. If she doesn't want to play with me, I will just lie in it and be a baby for a while. After all, I still suck my thumb.

Here's me, sitting in my baby doll's stroller. I'm still petite so it can carry my weight. I'm trying to put my mei-mei in it at times but Mummy will shout at me. I'll wait till she grows a little bigger before I try again.

Here's a picture of me giving a kiss to my handsome prince, my papa on his birthday last month. He'll always be my handsome prince *a mental note to mummy: to update why I call him my handsome prince*.

Pictures with my papa & mei-mei...

I've been cycling around our condo for months now....I wonder when papa is letting me cycle at the park. He says I can't use the brake handles yet...actually, my hands can't reach them. So I'll just bang into things to stop me from cycling at the moment.

Pictures of how I eat on my own. I keep telling Mummy that I want to eat at our dining table as I'm not a baby anymore and I don't need the high chair but she said she doesn't want me to run around while eating and also that if I want to watch TV, I need to be placed in it so that I don't make a mess on the sofa or mattress.

I'm saving the best picture for the last....this is how I laze around watching my TV in the house. Ain't I a hot-looking couch potato?! :D

Making Pizza

Let me teach you how to make pizza (my first attempt over last weekend)….

First, you get ready the dough. And then with some flour, you used whatever you can think of (in my case, our drinking bottle) to roll out the dough to a flat piece.

Ok, I’m not strong enough so I need to use my plan B (my papa, whom by the way, prepared the dough the night before and also all the other preparations too – well, I didn’t say I can cook now did I?!)

Once the dough is spread out flat enough, you put the tomato paste.

Ok, I need my papa’s help again to make sure that I’ve added enough paste.

Then you add the cheese, loads and loads of cheese.

Don’t forget to smell your hands, just to make sure you’ve got the right cheese.

And then you add the mushrooms and whatever you want (we made my pizza first so I get to chose!)

And ta dah…. You got the pizza.

Oh, I forgot, you also need to put it in the oven (don’t ask me at what heat and for how long though, my papa did all that)

And once the oven goes ‘ting!’, you will know that your pizza is ready…and this my friends, is my pizza. Mamamia!

My mei-mei & I

I love playing with my mei-mei right from the start. When she’s in her cot, I will want to play with her. If I can’t reach her, I will grab a chair or stool and play with her.

These days, I will ask mummy to put mei-mei next to me on the bed or mattress so that I can play with her. I love kissing and hugging her although mummy will scold me for being too rough on mei-mei. When mummy is not in sight and mei-mei cries, I will pat her and go “ok, ok, ok, mei-mei don’t cry, cher-cher here ok?!

Initially, when mei-mei was just born, I didn’t understand why mei-mei doesn’t want to play with me. Now, I’m happy when she smiles or laugh at me when I play with her. When this happens, I will tell mummy that “mei-mei likes me!”.

I’ll let the following photos illustrate how much I love my mei-mei!
my playmate at home!

see, i love my mei-mei so much, i don't mind her pulling my hair!

giving a helping hand

we even read books together!

we watch tv together (i need to teach her young!)

i even try and 'feed' her

and sleep together (when mummy is watching us that is as i kick a lot in my sleep)

Finally!

Mummy is celebrating! I've finally poo-ed in my potty! All this while, I will only poo in my diapers and mummy always complaint what a waste of money as I will only poo in a fresh diaper since I'm diaperless day time now.
I'm also the last in my batch at Aunty Ng's to do this since the rest of the kids my age are happily poo-ing in the potty. Now I can tell mummy that I can also poo in her toilet bowl.
