My mei-mei & I

I love playing with my mei-mei right from the start. When she’s in her cot, I will want to play with her. If I can’t reach her, I will grab a chair or stool and play with her.

These days, I will ask mummy to put mei-mei next to me on the bed or mattress so that I can play with her. I love kissing and hugging her although mummy will scold me for being too rough on mei-mei. When mummy is not in sight and mei-mei cries, I will pat her and go “ok, ok, ok, mei-mei don’t cry, cher-cher here ok?!

Initially, when mei-mei was just born, I didn’t understand why mei-mei doesn’t want to play with me. Now, I’m happy when she smiles or laugh at me when I play with her. When this happens, I will tell mummy that “mei-mei likes me!”.

I’ll let the following photos illustrate how much I love my mei-mei!

see, i love my mei-mei so much, i don't mind her pulling my hair!

giving a helping hand

we even read books together!

we watch tv together (i need to teach her young!)

i even try and 'feed' her

and sleep together (when mummy is watching us that is as i kick a lot in my sleep)

Finally!

Mummy is celebrating! I've finally poo-ed in my potty! All this while, I will only poo in my diapers and mummy always complaint what a waste of money as I will only poo in a fresh diaper since I'm diaperless day time now.
I'm also the last in my batch at Aunty Ng's to do this since the rest of the kids my age are happily poo-ing in the potty. Now I can tell mummy that I can also poo in her toilet bowl.

My CNY 2009 post

Yes, it's been so long but I'll just put up some pics of my CNY. As you will know from my mummy's blog and sister's blog, we all were down with the flu and I'm still coughing. It's in the air, everyone we know is practically coughing for the longest time.
I'll let you enjoy some pics first....

happily picking up shells on the beach

look at my pickings!

Not long after that when mummy told me about the little crabs that were all over the beach, I became aware that were so many and I freaked out! Now I will tell you I don't like picking up seashells anymore and would want to be carried on the beach

this is when i also got sick with fever which lead to a whole lot of coughing after that

my grumpy face on our last day at the island, waiting for the ferry

All this while, I've only ever met one of my blogger friends, Lucas (actually, we were suppose to meet Lucas and his mummy too this CNY but we were all too ill then and they were only in KL for 2 nights). And since I missed the chance to meet another one, Belle, when I was at San Francisco in 2007, we made the effort this time round to see her although for only a short time. Belle and her family were here in KL to celebrate CNY. Too bad that we didn't get to see her mei-mei, Cassie, who was asleep then. Here's some photos of us.
had to take one with our papas as I was too grumpy to take any picture alone with Belle

and then it was quick ones with our mummies, it's so tough to take good shots!

What do I think of Belle? Although mummy and papa says she's so cute, I was intimidated by her. She kept kissing my mei-mei and I wasn't happy with this and showed my grumpiness throughout. And then she became friendly with my papa too..... but she didn't play with me as I also didn't want to play with her. She prefers my mei-mei more but when mummy asked her whether she wants another mei-mei, she quickly replied "no!". I don't blame her as I also don't want another one.

I’m all grown up!

Miss me?! :D

I may still be small in size but you would be amazed at how I can communicate with you, if you get my attention that is. If not, you will only see the little ms. grumps that mummy has coined for me.

From the Disney playhouse channel I have watched for the past year on TV, I have now moved on to Disney Channel. Hence, my once beloved “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”, “Pocoyo”, “Clifford, The Big Red Dog”, “ My Friends, Tigger & Pooh”, “Little Einstens” have now been replaced with “Mr. Bean” (both animated and life series), “Hannah Montana” (Mummy still wonders why I love this show at my age?!) and the regular Disney shows they show on that channel.

I love all the princesses cartoons, in fact, I’m going for the Disney on Ice, Princess Wishes in 2 weeks time and I so cannot wait! I’ve been asking mummy this all the time and mummy has been counting down for me.

My conversations has been interesting and at times, it comes with an accent (mummy blames all the TV shows!), but mostly with Malaysian slangs (can I blame her for this slang?!).

When I can’t have my way, I will give out a big and whiney “Awwwwwwwww!!” and sound like as if it’s so unfair that I can’t have what I want.

I’ve also learn to say “Are you kidding?!” …so when I’m asked some questions which I don’t know how to answer and all eyes are on me for an answer, I will go “Are you kidding?!” which usually will get some laughter from my audience.

When I need attention and I don’t get any, I will go “Will somebody come and play with me?” or make a statement that “Nobody wants to play with me

I can also advise my mei-mei …..”Mei-mei, you don’t bully Papa ok, you be a good girl ya” or “Mei-mei, mummy change me first and then mummy carry you ok?” or when mei-mei cries when it’s time to take her medicince “mei-mei, don’t cry, it’s good for you, for your cough, for a while only!

I can also ‘nag’ like how mummy nags me. The other day, my aunty was at my place and didn’t have dinner with us and I went “Why you don’t want to eat? After (wards) you don’t say you (‘re) hungry ah!

And I like being positive too, I can help you out like how my good friend, Mickey Mouse says it “No problem! Leave it to me!

As much as I do show my maturity side a lot, I also do get into my babyish mode and want to be treated like a baby at times. And times like this, I will speak in a mono-syllabus mode like a baby.

For example, “hungry-eat bread” or “tired….sleep” or “thirsty-drink water” instead of saying them in a full sentences like I normally do. Only lately, I’m showing this and mummy always ask me why am I talking like this and I will laugh. Sometimes I will answer “Because I am a baby, I still suck my thumb” (which I do anyway but I refuse to drink mummy’s nen-nen and whenever mummy offers me her nen-nen, I will go “I’m NOT a baby but I still suck my thumb”).

Nevertheless, I’m getting too smart for my age and know how to ask questions that mummy doesn’t know how to answer. I know this as she will go “Don’t be so rude Rye Li” or “that is not a nice thing to say because….”. Ultimately, I will show my tongue to her to show that I must have my last say, which of course, I will be reprimanded for. No fun trying to argue with an adult! I still got a lot to learn I’m sure.

My 3rd Birthday

Happy New Year!

My birthday this time definitely made up for my 2nd birthday.

Papa fulfilled his promise to get me a bicycle and everyone is puzzled as to why I chose a blue one instead of a pink one since I’m so into all these Disney princesses stuff lately. The blue is definitely in contrast to the Barbie head, elbow and knee gear papa got me for Christmas.

my new bicycle

Anyhow, my birthday celebration started on the day before when I didn’t have to go to Aunty Ng’s. Instead mummy and papa took me to KLCC to Aquaria. My first time to KLCC and I had some fun, I got to eat ice cream too! The only thing was that I didn’t really like Aquaria, the place was pretty dark and there were huge fishes that scared the jeepers out of me. Mummy said the last time I was there was when I was in her tummy just a few days I was born.

i refused to let mummy take my pic so i was forced to take this one

with my barney friends!

The next day, I celebrated first at Aunty Ng’s with all my friends. I got my Mickey and Minnie Mouse Chocolate cake and also, Aunty made me a doll jelly cake. I also distributed my party packs to my friends at the daycare. They all had the same little handbags as me with their names sewn on them.

the party packs - this is mine and my mei-mei's

the doll jelly cake, ain't it pretty? i requested for a red one. my aunty ng sure is a talented lady!

a shot mummy took when she left the daycare, she thought we looked like prisoners

Later in the evening, we went over to my Aunty Pei See’s parent’s place for a barbeque to celebrate the New Year. And I got to celebrate my birthday again with the doll jelly cake Aunty Ng made for me. Also, I received some more presents. I got to play with them with my Kai Yeh (Godfather) and he also took me to the playground nearby. He gave me loads of junk food (chocs and ice cream) to eat. I got away with it as it was my birthday!

happy with my presents that my kai yeh helped me opened

playing with my toys

Having my birthday on the last day of the year sure has it advantages. My grandma said the whole world is celebrating my birthday and I would like to think so. Mummy and papa told me that when I’m bigger, I will be partying with my friends and they kept asking me whether they can follow me or not. I didn’t see what the problem was and I always tell them yes they can. And the weird thing was Mummy recorded this on the camera.

Hope your new year eve’s celebration was as fun as mine. Have a happy 2009!
